Farewell, sweet prince
It’s expected, but it still makes me sad. After coming to A&M as a five-star recruit, and entering the 2024 season with the highest of hopes, Aggies QB Conner Weigman has entered the transfer portal.
Texas A&M quarterback Conner Weigman is entering the NCAA transfer portal, he told ESPN. He’ll have two years of eligibility remaining. Weigman is a former blue-chip recruit who went 9-4 in 13 career starts at Texas A&M, including 4-1 this season. pic.twitter.com/EZfKh5bAkb

Weigman had a tantalizing end to his true freshman season and a hot start to his sophomore year, but it was cut short by a season-ending injury. This year was supposed to be when he put it all together, but another injury cost him several games, and then inconsistent play ultimately cost him the starting job to redshirt freshman Marcel Reed.
He finishes his A&M career with 2,694 passing yards, 19 TD passes and 7 INTs, completing 60% of his passes. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
