Aggies look to stay rolling heading into the bye week
Texas A&M just notched a potentially season-defining win over No. 8 LSU on Saturday night, coming back to beat the Tigers 38-23 at Kyle Field. But there’s no rest for the weary, as the Aggies must now travel to Columbia next Saturday for a matchup with the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Betting lines for next weekend’s slate of games released on Sunday, and the Aggies open as a 4.5-point favorite, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
Texas A&M is 9-1 in the all-time series against South Carolina (which began in 2014), but of course that one loss came in the Aggies’ most recent trip to Williams-Brice Stadium two years ago. Of course, that was in the midst of a 5-7 season, and the Aggies may be on the verge of a very very different kind of season in 2024, standing alone atop the SEC standings and with an inside track of getting to the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta for the first time. But all of that can get thrown in a blender if A&M doesn’t take care of business next week.
Following the game against South Carolina, the Aggies will have a bye on Nov. 9 before hosting New Mexico State on Nov. 16.
