Just keep winning
Texas A&M notched their fourth straight win on Saturday afternoon, edging out Arkansas 21-17 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. As a result, the Aggies saw some movement in the national polls. After entering the week at No. 24 in both polls, the Aggies actually moved down to No. 25 in the AP Top 25 (tied with UNLV) and moved up to No. 21 in the Coaches Poll, both released on Sunday.
Important note: Texas A&M is tied for No. 25 with UNLV. The website is glitching with what is essentially a Top 26 this week.

While a ranking is nice, the Ags likely need another win on Saturday in order to stay there. They have perhaps their biggest test of the season thus far looming next weekend as they welcome the Missouri Tigers, who are currently ranked No. 9 by the AP voters and the coaches. Win this game, and A&M likely vaults into the top 20 and heads into their bye week controlling their own destiny with a ton of confidence. Lose this game, and there’s a good chance you’re out of the top 25 and re-calibrating expectations for the rest of the season.
Such is life in college football, where optimism is a week-to-week proposition.
