While Missouri State was previously an FCS program, they began their two-year transition to FBS this past season, and will be a full FBS member beginning in 2026, playing in Conference USA. This is a buy game, with the Aggies paying $1.2 million to host Missouri State to kick off the 2026 season. In addition to this game, the Ags will play Arizona State at home on Sept. 12 and Tarleton State on Nov. 21.
It’s not yet clear if the SEC will stay at an eight-game conference schedule in 2026 or if they will expand to a nine-game schedule, so it’s possible that A&M will still need to add one more game to round out their non-conference slate.
