Happy Football Friday All Y’all. It is time for more tasty tailgate treats. Last week we had Dipity Doo Dah Dips For Days. Which one was your favorite? Because of all those tasty dips now we need some So, this week we have some refreshing beverages to wash them all down. ENJOY all the great games be sure to let us know which beverage was your favorite!
Bourbon Apple Cider Cocktail (Hot Or Cold)
Ingredients:
- 3 cups apple cider
- ½ cup orange juice
- ¼ cup lemon juice, approximately 1 ½ – 2 lemons
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 5 cinnamon sticks
- 6 ounces bourbon whiskey
- ¼ cup honey
Directions:

Combine apple cider, orange juice, lemon juice, nutmeg, and one of the cinnamon sticks in a medium-sized pot on the stovetop.

Heat the mixture over medium-high heat until it just begins to boil, then lower the heat to medium-low and allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes.

Remove the mixture from the heat and stir in the bourbon and the honey.

Serve the drink warm in a mug garnished with a cinnamon stick or cool the mixture completely and serve in a glass over ice.
Cajun Lemonade
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups Light Rum
- 2 Cups Citrus Vodka
- 12 Oz Can Frozen Lemonade Concentrate, thawed
- 1 Tsp Hot Sauce of Choice
- 1 Liter Club Soda, chilled
- Crushed Ice
- Lemon Slices and Mint Leaves, for garnish
Directions:

Stir together the rum, hot sauce, vodka, and lemonade in a large pitcher.

Chill in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Add the club soda just before serving.

Pour the mixture into 8 highball glasses filled with crushed ice.

Garnish with lemon slices and mint and enjoy!
The Best Bloody Mary
Ingredients:
- 3 cups tomato juice
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1 1⁄2tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄4teaspoon garlic powder
- 3⁄4teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 3⁄4teaspoon celery salt
- 1⁄2teaspoon coarse black pepper
- 1⁄3cup pickle juice
- 1 ounce vodka, per drink
Directions:
- In a blender combine the tomato juice, lemon juice, lime juice, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, pickle juice, and hot sauce and process until smooth. Transfer to a nonreactive container and add celery salt and black pepper, to taste. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, at least 2 hours, and up to overnight.
- When ready to serve, fill each glass with ice.
- Add 1 ounce of vodka to each glass, then fill the glass with the bloody mary mix. Stir well, and garnish each glass with your favorite veggie, pickle, celery, pickled green bean, or pickled okra.
Beer-garita
Ingredients:
- 1 (33.8-oz.) bottle ready-to-drink non-alcoholic margarita mix
- 2 (12-oz.) cans of domestic light lager beer
- 12 oz. 100% agave silver tequila
- 1 (12-oz.) container Hy-Vee frozen limeade juice drink concentrate, thawed
- 1 (12-oz.) container frozen 100% pineapple-orange juice concentrate, thawed
- Mandarin orange slices; for garnish
- Lime slices, for garnish
- Salt, to taste
Directions:
- Pour margarita drink, beer, tequila, limeade concentrate, and pineapple-orange concentrate into one-gallon pitcher; stir to combine.
- Add ice, and mandarin orange and lime slices for garnish, if desired.
- To serve, pour the margarita mixture into 10 (16-oz.) ice-filled glasses.
- Sprinkle with salt to taste.
Autumn Sangria
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle (750 ml) of medium-bodied red wine (like Pinot Noir)
- 2 cans (11.5 ounces each) V8 +ENERGY® Sparkling Orange Pineapple
- 2 cups apple cider (16 fluid ounces)
- 1/2 cup bourbon (4 fluid ounces)
- 1 apple, cored and sliced
- 1 orange, cut in half and sliced
- 3 cinnamon stick
Directions:
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours to allow the flavors to blend.
- Stir the wine, V8, cider, bourbon, apple, orange, and cinnamon sticks in a large pitcher.
- Serve the sangria in ice-filled glasses. Garnish with additional apple and orange slices and cinnamon sticks, if desired.
