Texas A&M’s Shemar Stewart declare for the NFL Draft in December, and was already projected by some to be a potential first round pick this spring. Well Stewart traveled to the Senior Bowl this week in Mobile, Alabama, and if the reports are any indication, he’s done nothing but solidify that draft stock.
Watch the get-off and burst from Shemar Stewart to capture the corner and flatten to the QB.

Shemar Stewart is DOMINATING the Senior Bowl.
He’s 6’5, 281lbs with explosiveness you just can’t teach.
There is NO WAY he doesn’t go in the first round. pic.twitter.com/E1awJejsUb

And Stewart himself did not shy away from the hype. When asked how he would take himself if he was a GM, he replied, “If I was a GM, I would take me with the highest pick you got. You don’t want to miss this.”

Stewart was a five-star recruit in Texas A&M’s 2022 recruiting class, and in his three years in College Station, totaled 65 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. While his stats are not going to wow anybody, he absolutely has the measurables to wow NFL scouts, so it’s no surprise that he is doing well at the Senior Bowl, and will likely do so again at the NFL Combine a month from now.
The 2025 NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 24, in Green Bay, WI.
