Aggies have now won six straight SEC series
No. 1 Texas A&M continued their dominant play this weekend, taking two games out of three over No. 20 Missouri at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park on Friday and Saturday. The Aggies have now won six straight conference series after dropping their season-opening conference series to Florida last month.
The highlight of the weekend was undoubtedly game two on Saturday afternoon. In a game that began with the Aggies giving up nine runs in the top of the first inning, they then scored eight in the bottom of the inning and would go on to run-rule the Bulldogs 19-9 in seven innings. Just an embarrassment of offensive riches on full display.
They are 15-6 in conference play, just one game behind Arkansas for the SEC West lead and two games behind Kentucky for the lead in the entire SEC.
GAME 1: Texas A&M 5, Georgia 2
GAME 2: Texas A&M 19, Georgia 9
GAME 3: Georgia 5, Texas A&M 4
The Aggies will host Tarleton on Tuesday night before heading to Baton Rouge for a weekend series against LSU beginning on Friday night. While the Tigers are 7-13 in SEC play this season, they have won their past two series against Missouri and Auburn, and as the defending national champions, should not be taken lightly.
