In 2024, the Huskers had trouble finding landing spots in the NFL Draft. But it seems that Nebraska will end this streak in 2025. The NFL announced that defensive lineman Ty Robinson, cornerback Tommi Hill, wide receiver Isaiah Neyor, and tight end Thomas Fidone will make the trip to Indianapolis for the NFL Combine. This has led to many draft boards to project the Huskers’ landing spots.
Ty Robinson
The defensive lineman’s stock is definitely trending upward. Robinson stood out right away to NFL scouts when he was able to measure in at 6-foot-4 and 296 pounds. This allowed him to easily overpower other defensive linemen in individual drills. However, he wouldn’t be able to make his presence felt until the actual game. As a member of the National Team, he was able to perform a quarterback hurry on Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard. He was also able to make a five-yard loss happen in the backfield. His career as a Blackshirt speaks for itself. But his recent actions at the Senior Bowl have put him in a much higher category. According to Scouts Inc.’s Best Available, Robinson is the 54th-best prospect in the draft. Unfortunately, this status doesn’t mean much. According to Pro Football Network, Robinson is projected to be drafted in the fourth round by the Indianapolis Colts. He should be picked higher, but Robinson will be in good company with Colts defensive linemen DeForest Buckner and Kwity Paye.
Isaiah Neyor
After a decorated career with the Wyoming Cowboys, Neyor decided to finish up his college career at Nebraska. His short time in Lincoln was successful. Last season as the Big Red’s outside receiver, he had 34 catches for 455 yards and five touchdowns. This output allowed him to rank second on the team in total receiving yards. Will the Texan be able to provide the same impact for an NFL team? He certainly has potential. Neyor was named as one of the fastest offensive players at the 2025 Shrine Bowl. It’s a similar situation to what happened with Trey Palmer. The former Husker found a landing spot with the Buccaneers and has hit the ground running. In 15 games last season, he had 12 receptions for 172 yards and a touchdown.

Tommi Hill
After serving as the Big Red’s top cornerback in 2023, Hill was hoping to use this experience to propel him into one of the top spots in the NFL Draft. This strategy almost worked for the Florida native. Against Colorado, Hill had six tackles and a pick-six. Unfortunately, this momentum wouldn’t last long. He suffered an injury against Illinois, which left him out of most of Nebraska’s season. The offseason wasn’t much kinder to Hill either. His injury left him out of the Senior Bowl. Luckily, he still sits in a good place. The Draft Network has Hill picked in the seventh round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If this happens, he’ll be in a better spot than Omar Brown and Quinton Newsome. Both players were signed as undrafted free agents by the Denver Broncos in 2024. However, the most surprising prospect would have to be former defensive back Phalen Sanford. After a career on Nebraska’s special teams, he received an undrafted free agent contract with the Raiders.

Thomas Fidone
The Council Bluffs native is looking to be the first Nebraska tight end to be drafted since Tracey Wistrom in 2002. His 6-foot-6, 255-pound frame makes it easy for him to catch the football and block. He demonstrated this at several Senior Bowl practices. However, he didn’t do much at the actual showcase. Fidone’s inability to perform takes him out of being a top-level pick. We’ll see if he gets more opportunities to prove himself at the Huskers pro day in March. This might give him a boost, but it’s most likely that he’ll get a contract as an undrafted free agent. This has been a common theme for almost all of the Huskers’ playmakers. In the 2024 NFL Draft, Billy Kemp was signed by the New York Giants.
