Minnesota transfer F Pharrel Payne commits to Texas A&M

Aggie Hoops gets another vet

Buzz Williams continued to attack the portal on Tuesday, getting a commitment from Minnesota forward Pharrel Payne.

Payne is listed at 6’9” and 255 pounds, and averaged 10 points and 6.1 rebounds for the Golden Gophers last season. He fills a major need for the Aggies as a complement big man to Henry Coleman.

This is the second transfer portal A&M has made this offseason, with Payne joining Nebraska guard C.J. Wilcher in the Ags’ transfer portal haul.
