There’s a lot to take in
We’re just one day away from the resumption of the Aggies and Longhorns football rivalry, and Texas A&M has a slew of scheduled events leading up to the game itself on Saturday night. Here’s the rundown.
Friday, Nov. 29
Standing Room Only: The Legend of the 12th Man
2 p.m., (Rudder Theatre)
This 102-minute documentary, produced in 2022, tells the story of the history, tradition, and legend of college football’s greatest tradition, the 12th Man, from its origins in the early days of Texas A&M to its continued impact in the present-day landscape of college athletics.
Ruck Across the Brazos
5/5:15 p.m. (Kyle Field)
Follow along as Aggies and Longhorns participate in a unique ruck across Texas, transporting a single football from Austin to Kyle Field just in time for kickoff.
Yell Practice with Head Coach Mike Elko and the Aggie Football Team

Join us for the rivalry Yell Practice with the returned tradition of hosting the the Aggie football team!
12th Man Firework Show
Immediately following Yell Practice (Kyle Field)
Keep the Aggie Spirit alive with a 12-minute, Texas-sized fireworks show following Yell Practice.
Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown Concert
Doors open 7 p.m. (Reed Arena)
Close out the night celebrating Aggie pride with some of Texas country’s greatest artists. Presented by ASA Events.
The Burning Desire
7 p.m. (Rudder Theatre)
This 68-minute documentary, produced in 2009, chronicles the dramatic events on the Texas A&M campus in November 1999 when the annual Aggie Bonfire collapsed in the final days of construction. Twelve Texas A&M students lost their life and many others were injured. The documentary looks back at the tradition, the tragedy, and how the rivalry football game days later with the Texas Longhorns became an emotional focal point for all affected.
Saturday, Nov. 30
ESPN College Game Day

ESPN College Game Day is returning to Aggieland for the final game of the season. Come out and support our team!

Fire up your grills for a BBQ cook-off that is sure to fuel you up for gameday! Compete in the cook-off or stop by as you make your way to Kyle Field taste-testing some of Aggieland’s best gameday BBQ.
Corps of Cadets Pre-Game March-In
4:30 p.m. (The Quad)
Watch as the Corps of Cadets, including the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, Parsons Mounted Cavalry and the university’s first lady and mascot, Reveille X, march through campus before the game.
Fightin’ Texas Aggie Football Maroon Out Game
6:30 p.m. (Kyle Field)
