Historical Notes:
- The Aggies and the Aggies met just one other time (in 2016). Texas A&M won that game 52-10.
What To Watch For:
- Dominance. New Mexico State is not just a G5 team, they’re a bad G5 team. This is a game A&M should dominate from the outset, and if they don’t, it’s cause for concern.
- Offensive efficiency. Even though it’s an inferior opponent, A&M fans will be looking for signs of improvement from an offense that sputtered mightily against South Carolina (and has often this season).
- NOT Diego Pavia. Thank goodness he has moved up in the world (just ask Hugh Freeze).
- Fall? Don’t look now, but we might actually get a home game with a temperature below 80 at kickoff.
- “I think the Aggies will win” jokes. Please stop.
