Ags add another TE from the transfer portal
If you wondered how much the tight end would be utilized in Collin Klein’s offense at Texas A&M, the transfer portal should give you your answer, as the Aggies added yet another TE on Monday, getting a commitment from East Carolina transfer Shane Calhoun.

Calhoun was a three-year starter at East Carolina, though he missed the second half of the 2023 season due to injury. In his career he has amassed 63 receptions for 594 yards and six touchdowns. He has one year of eligibility and joins the Aggies as a graduate transfer.
The addition of Calhoun is a somewhat surprising one given where the Aggies already stood at the tight end spot. While they did lose senior Max Wright to graduation, they returned Donovan Green (rehabbing from a torn ACL), Theo Melin-Ohrstrom and Jaden Platt, and had already added two tight ends during the winter portal window in Purdue’s Garrett Miller and Fresno State’s Trey Watson. But clearly they felt that adding at least one more was a need.
A&M has added four players thus far from the spring portal window, including UCF edge Josh Celiscar, Utah C Koli Faainu and Pitt LB Solomon DeShields.
