The second Aggie medal in as many days
On Friday, Casey Kaufhold became the first Aggie to win a medal at the Paris Olympics, securing the bronze in mixed archery. On Saturday, Austin Krajicek (‘11) became the second, winning the silver in men’s doubles tennis.

Krajicek and his partner Rajeev Ram fell in three sets in the gold medal match to Austrailia. The duo are currently ranked as the No. 14 men’s doubles pair in the world, and were ranked No. 1 just over a year ago following their French Open win.
Including Krajiceck, Texas A&M sent 24 representatives to the Paris Olympics. While at A&M, he won the doubles title with Jeff Dadamo at the 2011 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships, which was the first national title in program history. He was a four-time doubles All-American (2008–11), and a two-time singles All-American (2010 & 2011). Krajicek was the Big 12 Freshman of the Year, and in his junior and senior seasons was the Big 12 Player of the Year.
