Michael Earley is doing WORK
Yesterday Texas A&M fans learned that sluggers Jace LaViolette and Gavin Grahovac were returning to the team for 2025. Today they gut two other vital pieces, as INF Kaeden Kent and OF Caden Sorrell both announced their plans to stay in Aggieland.

Sorrell was one of the top freshmen in the SEC in 2024, and Kent now famously stepped up following the injury to Braden Montgomery and played a pivotal role in A&M’s run to the championship series. Both entered the transfer portal last week following the departure of head coach Jim Schlossnagle to Texas, but with former hitting coach Michael Earley now the head coach in College Station, it seems both will run it back with their teammates next season.
The Aggies got even more good news on Wednesday afternoon when USC transfer catcher Jacob Galloway committed to Texas A&M. The Ags were in search of a catcher to replace Jackson Appel, who is likely headed to the MLB Draft.
While Schlossnagle heading to Austin was indeed a dark day for A&M, it’s hard to imagine a better outcome in the week since. While nothing is promised, the Ags look to enter 2025 once again having one of the top rosters in college baseball.
