Big-time game on tap at Kyle next Saturday
Texas A&M’s 21-17 victory over Arkansas ensures that next weekend’s game against the Missouri Tigers carries with it some significant early-season stakes. It will be ranked-vs-ranked matchup (with Mizzou currently in the top 10) with both teams currently undefeated in SEC play. Suffice to say, the winner of this game will get a massive boost of confidence headed into the remainder of their schedule.
But despite Mizzou being the higher ranked team, the Aggies actually open as a slight favorite, listed at -2 in the opening lines from DraftKings Sportsbook.
The Aggies have won four straight games after a season-opening loss, even if the last two against Bowling Green and Arkansas have been in less-than-impressive fashion. Mizzou, meanwhile is 4-0 and coming off of a bye week, but has looked vulnerable as well in their past two games, needing second half comebacks to beat Boston College 27-21 and Vanderbilt 30-27 in double overtime.
Should the Ags be able to pull this one out, it would almost certainly vault them into the top 20 nationally, and sitting at 5-1 for the first time since 2020.
