Monster game looming this Saturday
With a win over Mississippi State on Saturday, Texas A&M moved to 6-1 on the season and 4-0 in SEC play. Likewise, LSU beat Arkansas to also move to 6-1, and also stay undefeated in SEC play at 3-0. As it so happens, those two teams will face each other next Saturday in College Station for what will be the premiere game in the SEC and maybe the entire country.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Aggies enter the week as a slight favorite, with the point spread sitting at A&M -3.
The game will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and air on ABC, with sole possession of first place in the SEC on the line. It marks the third time A&M has faced an opponent ranked in the top 10 at Kyle Field this season (Notre Dame and Missouri being the first two). Texas A&M has inserted themselves into the conference title game and College Football Playoff race, and will still have a chance at both even with a loss in this game. But it’s undeniable that a win would give them not just a shot, but an inside track and both of those goals.
