The Aggies were No. 14 in last week’s rankings, falling one spot while on bye. Now, that’s not necessarily because they view A&M any differently. Their fall has everything to do with Ole Miss’ victory over Georgia last Saturday, which justifiably moved the Rebels from No. 16 to No. 11. Meanwhile, Georgia plummeted from No. 3 to No. 12.
While A&M is currently on the outside looking in on the 12-team field, they very much still control their own destiny. If the Ags win their last three games against New Mexico State, Auburn and Texas, they’ll be in the SEC Championship Game, and almost certainly in the Playoff, either as an at-large team or as the SEC Champion.
Win and you’re in, lose and you’re out. Let’s have some fun.
