Texas A&M continues to flesh out it’s non-conference schedule ahead of the 2024-25 college basketball season. We already knew the Aggies would travel to the Charleston Classic in November and face Purdue in Indianapolis on Dec. 14. On Thursday, news broke of another major addition, with A&M taking on in-state rival Texas Tech on Dec. 8 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.

Tech and A&M were originally scheduled to play a home-and-home series beginning this season in Lubbock, but according to Rothstein’s article, the start of that series has now been postponed.
The Ags last played at Dickies Arena in 2019, where they fell to Texas 60-50 in head coach Buzz Williams’ first season in Aggieland. They will likely enter the season ranked in the top 25 after returning most of their roster from a team that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2024.
