Big expecations looming for A&M basketball
The Associated Press released their college basketball preseason top 25 poll on Monday, and as expected, Texas A&M enters the season as a highly regarded team. The Aggies come in at No. 13 in the rankings.

The Aggies return essentially everyone from their 2023-24 squad with the exception of Boots Radford, including leading scorer Wade Taylor, Manny Obaseki, Solomon Washington and Henry Coleman. A&M also made several additions via the transfer portal this offseason, including SMU G Zhuric Phelps, Minnesota F Pharrell Payne and Nebraska G C.J. Wilcher.
A&M is one of 10 SEC teams ranked in the preseason top 25, alongside No. 4 Alabama, No. 11 Auburn, No. 12 Tennessee, No. 16 Arkansas, No. 19 Texas, No. 21 Florida, No. 23 Kentucky and No. 24 Ole Miss.
The first game of the 2024-25 Aggie basketball season will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, as Buzz Williams and his A&M squad travel to Orlando to take on UCF.
