A&M ranked No. 7 in latest poll
Texas A&M basketball went 2-0 last week, improving to 20-5 overall and 9-3 in SEC play. They were rewarded with yet another rise in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, rising from No. 8 to No. 7.

A&M earned that rise with a 69-53 home win over Georgia followed by a 69-61 home win over Arkansas this past week. The No. 7 ranking is A&M’s highest of the season and also the highest of the Buzz Williams era in College Station, but it’s a ranking that will continue to be put to the test in a grind of an SEC schedule. The Aggies go on the road this week to take on No. 21 Mississippi State at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, then return to Reed Arena for a showdown with No. 6 Tennessee.
The Ags are currently tied with Florida for third in the SEC standings and are projected as a 2 seed in next month’s NCAA Tournament.
