Texas A&M hosts Elon to begin 2025 campaign
What an offseason, eh?
After an incredibly magic season that ended with a runner-up finish in Omaha, Jim Schlossnagle left for Austin to lead the Longhorns.
Several players entered the portal (but they they all came back).
Then Texas A&M hired hitting coach Michael Earley to take over and one of the best lineups in baseball last year remained largely intact.
The Aggies begin the season as the preseason #1.
With that offseason behind them, Texas A&M seeks to finish the job in 2025.
That quest kicks off this weekend as the Aggies host Elon.

Texas A&M’s opponent this weekend didn’t have the best 2024 campaign. The Phoenix ended the year 21-32 overall with a 10-17 record in conference play in the Coastal. As mentioned above, the Aggies return a lot of key pieces to their lineup in 2025.
Four preseason All-Americans are on the roster for Texas A&M: Jace LaViolette, Gavin Grahovac, Wyatt Henseler, and Ryan Prager. Henseler is a graduate transfer from Penn who set the Ivy League record for homers last year.
The Aggies will look to start the season on a high note against Elon and get the bats going early and often.
