This sucks.
In case Texas A&M losing their first baseball game of the season didn’t put you in enough of a bad mood, Aggie fans got some much worse news on Tuesday, as TexAgs’ Ryan Brauninger broke the news that Pre-season All American 3B Gavin Grahovac will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury that requires surgery.
News: Texas A&M third baseman Gavin Grahovac will have surgery to repair his left shoulder and miss the remainder of the 2025 season.
Grahovac had been fighting through it the first 2 weeks, but it got to a point that was untenable.

Grahovac, A&M’s leadoff hitter, started all 67 games he appeared in during his rookie campaign, batting .298/.390/.596 to go along with a Texas A&M single-season freshman record 23 homers and 66 RBI. He scored 83 times, which ranks third all-time in program history, drew 36 walks and doubled 16 times. He belted the first ever leadoff home run in the first game of a College World Series Final, marked the second leadoff homer in any CWS Final game…He also recorded the team’s longest hit streak of 16 games during the season.
Brauninger reports that the Aggies will likely adjust their lineup by moving transfer Wyatt Henseler from 2B to 3B (where he played last season), and inserting either Sawyerr Farr or Jamal George at 2B.
Grahovac’s surgery will require a 6 month rehabilitation. He will return to Texas A&M in 2025-2026 for his junior season.
In his absence, expect to see Wyatt Henseler slide back to third base while freshman Sawyer Farr and transfer Jamal George get long looks at second. pic.twitter.com/jGA82qowy8
