These are, dare I say, decent.
Adidas has released some Texas A&M-branded shoes of questionable aesthetic quality in recent months, but on Friday, they seemed to have hit on a good one, as they released an Aggie-centric version of the the Centennial RM.
“Reimagined for today yet true to their ‘80s basketball roots, these adidas shoes deliver retro appeal and all-day comfort. Introduced in 1985, the Centennial was ahead of its time, with suede and leather versions. This updated edition brings the past into the present with a modernized upper and signature sporty details.”
The shoe, which retails for $100, features a a maroon full leather upper (including the tongue), with light gray three stripes on each side and a gray stripe that wraps around the ankle. The leather has a smooth finish on the mudguard and around the ankle, with a tumbled finish on the midfoot, toebox and tongue. The maroon is accented by white laces and a white rubber cupsole and black outsole, and of course, the Texas A&M “lone star” logo on the tongue.
You can find the shoe at Adidas.com, 12thManShop.com and most other A&M apparel retailers.
