The Astros go on yet another playoff run
It’s literally October baseball, the kind that matters most to those perennial contenders your Houston Astros. The ALWC roster is posted below. Yordan in. Chas in. Verlander out.
The Astros draw a tough contender here in round one. If any team is designed for a three game series it’s the red-hot Tigers, starting the series with perhaps this year’s best pitcher in all MLB, Tariq Skubal. But the Tigers aren’t facing some slouch. Framber Valdez, with his load of playoff experience, goes for the Stros.
Not on this list are Spencer Arrighetti, Bryan King, Yusei Kikuchi, and Chas McCormick. It’s only 11 pitchers. Nobody predicted that few. Most of our would-be GMs erred by thinking Verlander would be included as well.
