1993 – Jason Grimsley is released
After being traded in exchange pitcher Curt Schilling, the Astros released newly acquired catcher Jason Grimsley. Grimsley spent the entire 1992 season in the minors for the Astros before his release while Schilling went on to be a six-time All-Star and three-time World Series winner.
2000 – Enron officially open for play
The first game was played at Enron Field between the Astros and the Yankees, where the Astros took a 6-5 victory away from the reigning A.L. Champion. The name only stuck for two years after Enron lost the naming rights in 2002 due to bankruptcy and being sued.
