1965 – Return to the dome
After getting the entire roof repainted due to glare coming in and interpreting players during the game, the team returns back to the dome for their first game, an 11th inning 5-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Joe Morgan was responsible for the game winning RBI.
1980 – J.R. Richard’s 100th win
Facing off against the New York Mets, Astros pitcher J.R. Richards gets his 100th career win after getting a 7-4 win. Infielder Art Howe was the biggest factor on offense for the ‘Stros with three hits.
