Spring Training games mean nothing, but even though Houston got blown out today, there were a few bright spots.
- Spencer Arrighetti pitched two shutout innings, and did not walk anyone!
- The pitching staff did give up three home runs, but their K/BB ratio was 14 to 1. That is a good sign!
- Dezenzo had an extra-base hit.
- Cam Smith worked a walk and scored.
The Yankees will probably have a better team this year, but that was baked in the cake regardless of how either team performed in spring training. I am fairly optimistic the Astros have the talent to win 90 games this year, but I think this is the first year in recent memory that Houston does not have the potential to win 100 games.
With that said, what have you all thought about spring training so far? Are you confident about Dubon starting every day? Will Chas have a bounce-back season? Comment below!
