Except for COVID-shortened season of 2020, the Astros have won the AL West every year since 2017. And that’s how most prognosticators each year predicted they would finish.
This year is different. A few analysts still have the Astros in first, but a close third is a more common prediction. After all, the Astros have barely squeaked into first the last two years, and this year they play without two superstars, Alex Bregman and Kyle Tucker, and relief ace Ryan Pressly.
