The Texas Rangers stopped their season-worst eight-game losing streak and stayed in first place in the tightened-up AL West with a 6-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins. Robbie Grossman and Leody Taveras sparked a four-run ninth inning with consecutive bases-loaded walks. The Rangers are 73-56. They stayed even with Seattle for the division lead and one game ahead of Houston. Adolis García and Mitch Garver both homered earlier in the game and greeted Twins reliever Griffin Jax with back-to-back singles to start the ninth. Jorge Polanco homered for the Twins.
