Hunter Brown goes for an early series win on the road against Baltimore
If there was a game you might write off as an Astros loss in this series with Baltimore, it was last night’s matchup between Spencer Arrighetti and Corbin Burnes. But Arrighetti had a career game, and the Astros found their clutch bats, winning 6-0.
Arrighetti’s progress is beyond expectations, another chapter in the story of amazing Astros pitcher development. The previous chapter was written by tonight’s starter, Hunter Brown, who started the year pitching trash, but since June has been one of MLB’s best. His opponent, Cade Povich, gives the Astros a pitching matchup the flip side of last night’s. Let’s hope the final result isn’t the flip side, too.
Here are the lineups.
