After a slugfest in game one of the series, the Astros come back for game two in a pitchers duel that includes two arms that have chances to be All-Stars. This matchup comes after the crazy 14-11 Astros win on Friday that saw 32 hits, five home runs and a solid start from a kid drafted less than a year ago.
Ronel Blanco has been the saving grace for the ‘Stros this year on the mound, pitching to the tune of a 2.43 ERA in 13 starts. He’s coming off an outing in Detroit on June 11th where he threw seven not-hit innings while striking out eight.
He faces off against Orioles’ ace Corbin Burnes. The 2021 Cy Young winner, in his first year as an O, has led the rotation this year with 15 starts and an AL best 2.14 ERA.
