The offense got on the board scoring 2 runs in the first on a Leon sac fly and Melton RBI groundout. In the 3rd, Hummel added a sac fly. Melton continued his hot hitting connecting on an RBI single in the 5th. Gusto got the start and pitched really well allowing 1 run over 7 innings while striking out 7. The pen allowed a run but closed out the 4-2 win in the series opener.

Langford allowed 3 runs over 2.2 innings as the Renegades tied it up. The offense was quiet the rest of the way and in the 9th, the Rengades walked it off with a run scoring single.
