Sugar Land got on the board in the first inning scoring 3 runs on a Melton sac fly, fielder’s choice, and Corona sac fly. Blubaugh got the start and went 6 innings allowing 2 runs while striking out 6. The offense got 3 more runs in the 3rd on a Bastidas RBI double and a Narvaez 2 run triple. In the 6th, Amaya hit a solo HR to extend the lead.

Robain got the start and wasn’t helped by his defense has he allowed 11 hits and 10 runs, though just 1 was earned, over 1.2 innings. The offense got on the board in the 4th on a Sacco RBI single. Torres had a scoreless appearance and Hicks struck out 6 over 5 innings allowing 3 runs but the offense was quiet the rest of the way as the Hooks fell 13-1.
